Poll: Is Jun Lozada worth destabilizing our country for?

Scandalous

I have tolerated to the point of exasperation Jun Lozada’s antics, tears and all. I have given him the benefit of the doubt since that early morning news conference he gave at La Salle . I even came close to heralding him as the new face of integrity and conscientiousness within the bureaucracy, the proverbial lone burning lamp in the stormy seas of our political system. Yet my high regard for him have diminished by the day.

Overpriced goats, reckless dispersal of public lands to relatives and friends, kickbacks from previous government projects he had been involved with, and more… all these have slowly eroded Lozada’s credibility. But the most damning thing he ever did was to dance to the tune of his new marching band(his patrons)…and go around schools convincing kids (as young as pre-schoolers) to support an uprising against the government. Such blatant manipulation reeks of goat-shit. Unable to convince the masses to join them in renewed bid to grab political power, the political opposition (a friend calls them the disgruntled opposition) are trying to mobilize the youth by USING the religious sector and the media and just about everybody else who dares falls into the trap of their Jun Lozada script.

I agree that it is the duty of every citizen to be concerned with the affairs of government but we must NEVER fall into the trap set by politicians who have shown no qualms of using public opinion in the furtherance their selfish ends. The danger of Jun Lozada is not in the exposure of seemingly unbridled corruption in government: It is in manipulating the political power of the people and abusing popular will in order to serve self-serving interests.

Enlisting kids to join in subverting authority is one example.

This we cannot allow.

I'm fed up with the way Cory and other power-hungry politicians get on their holier-than-thou high horse and rope the Church into their side, using the Mass like a weapon. It's disgusting! I am not a fan of GMA but the answer to corruption is not to get rid of her. If we think the only way we can get rid of corruption is by finding the right leader... remember Animal Farm?

We have been so absorbed in a search for a Messiah, someone who can deliver us from the corruption that has plagued us for GENERATIONS. We don't want to have to do the difficult work of fighting corruption at our level, such as give up bribing people to make our business life easier, or to stand up to those bosses who would make us partners in their corruption. So we desperately put our faith in a Savior President who will wave a magic wand and, without any effort on our part, take away all corruption from a system and a society that have run on it for generations! But it's never our fault, it's always Marcos's or Cory's or Erap's or GMA's. Whoever will be next will be the next one at fault.

I am so disappointed that the Church leaders, instead of trying to strengthen our moral fiber, have taken the easy way out of pointing fingers, finding people to blame and changing leaders yet again. EDSA 1 was such a heady brew, it seems those priests and nuns are hooked on it like a drug.

"The Bolshevik Revolution ousted Czar of Russia in 1917 cozof corruption, then the communists took over, millions murdered including priests ChangkaiShek ousted for corruption in China, Mao and communists took ovre, priests, nuns slaughtered, same with Cuba. Oust GMA and communists will take over...Bishops, nuns, clergy WAKE UP!!!!"
This continous relentless campaign by the clergy to destabilize our government by fostering hate and divisiness is truly damaging to our country. Stop using schools and the pulpit as venues for thinly guised politicking!!!!!

It is quite clear that the "NBN-ZTE Deal" is dead matter. Jun Lozada is merely being used as a political pawn by the opposition in its desperate attempts to steal power from the current administration. I come from Bohol and very few people here care about political issues concerning the nation and yet I still feel the evil plots and acts of destabilization carried out by a few opposition senators, congressmen, radical priests and nuns, and oppositionist businessmen in Metro Manila. Cory Aquino is a desperate old hag who has nothing to so but unlawfully call for the resignation of all the presidents that succeed her. She has lost her identity as she allows herself to be ingeniusly manipulated by extreme oppositionists. The church should also refrain from joining and partaking in deliberate acts of politics. Biahops, priests, ans nuns should reflect on their true purpose as the guardians of the people's FAITH and MORALITY not as media for political maneuverings headed by jejune oppositionist trapos seated in the legislative department. The Senate is the venue of legislation and is not to hold judiciary processes such as the so-called "inquiries" which in actuality are unconstitutional hearings benefiting only the opposition. The media are also to be considered as the merchants of chaos in the country. The media's abuse of their right to published expression has gone too far and that it is quite obvious that THE LEADING TELEVISION NETWORK HAS BECOME A ONE-SIDED PROTEGE OF THE OPPOSITION who has connivingly upheld Lozada's fake credibility to a point of worship.

Enough with the political circuses causing ruckuses to our country!

I totally agree with you. Although I'm not a fan of GMA and believe that her administration is indeed involved in corruption, I will never support any moves and calls for her resignation, especially when it comes from Cory Aquino and her ilk. I've made a video at Youtube entitled "ZTE NBN SCANDAL: THE OLIGARCHS. A REQUEST TO JUN LOZADA" I hope it can help shed light to the issues that are haunting us recently. It may not ba as articulate as your article here but I hope it can help.

These people, the oligarchs, are really playing us like fools. They want to make it appear that it is a fight against corruption but in reality, it is only a smokescreen for powergrab and putting their own "tuta" to the presidency. In fact, they are the source of all corruptions and moral decay in our society. What make it even worse is that they own the media and they can make a criminal look like an angel of light and a brute into a martyr.

Lets fight aganst oligarchy and lets fight against corporate media tyranny!

All those in favor of Jun Lozada's erroneous testimonies are not to be welcomed to post comments on this blogsite especially the one who posted a very rudimentary and dumb comment last Feb. 26, 2008 03:40pm defending Lozada. You are a gullible moron just like the majority of you scoundrels in Metro Manila. Your use of the Filipino language instead of proper and precise English dictates that you, just like the majority of opposition supporters, are uneducated and are wretchedly in denial! Persons the likes of you insinuating false allegations against PGMA and her administration are to be obliterated. PGMA has done a lot of good for our country. A lot of infrastructure development has and is still going on in our provinces. She has lifted the Filipino towards greater heights as she is the most qualified and able president in our forsaken country's history. She has done nothing anomalous and it is only for uneducated persons with low IQ's to believe the deceitful allegations against the president made by that "crying lady" Jun Lozada. Jun Lozada is a fool for having caused division and disunity in our country but I assure you who read my comment that we who live in the Visayas strongly support the president and her administration. Almost all of us here in the Visayas support the president and we rebuke Lozada's lies and false allegations. Those who rally for the opposition are clearly destitutes being paid to do the opposition's bidding. How dare you blame our president! She has done nothing evil and corrupt. She did not directly cancel the "NBN ZTE" deal with China in order to preserve our country's diplomatic relations. To automatically cancel the contract would be a huge insult towards the Chinese Government and would cause them to halt investments to our country thus starving numerous workers and laborers.

Hmm...there's a really heated debate in here but I would like to voice concerns over the matter.

1. First, this is a public blog, seen in the internet where anyone can post their comments. I therefore object to what the last anonymous user wrote. Anyone should be able to comment whether they are pro or anti-GMA.

2. Second, please do not equate the use of Filipino with having a low IQ. English is not superior to Filipino. I am proud of our linguistic heritage where we are trained to use a variety of languages. However, I would like to speak against your maligning of our national language. It is not true that Filipino is an inferior language. In fact, it is one of the few languages in the world that can support logical structures. In addition, it has also been proven that Filipino is one of hardest languages for a foreigner to learn. But I would like to clarify that Filipino is not superior among other languages. I would just like to point out that it is special in its own right and using it doesn't mean that a person is mentally challenged.

3. A person's political opinion should be respected no matter what his political affinity is. Opting to be on one side doesn't represent the intellectual capability of an individual. I am saddened by the inherent fallacies committed in the comments. I hope that people would at least argue decently without condemning the person. A real intellectual is one who respects others no matter how dumb their opinions maybe.

I really don't have much to say about the issue itself. I hope that the truth will come out and that people especially those in leadership, should suffer the consequences of their actions. My hope is not false unity but rather unity of people wanting to change this country not people uniting for some self serving purpose or for the sake of unity without any regard to their moral obligations. Unity in doing wrong is not good unity at all. I don't have any ideological inclinations. I just want this country be free from corruption and that it will become a just and righteous country, worthy of its being a chritian nation. I believe that people should be the change they want to see. I don't believe in ousting presidents just to replace them with another corrupt president. I believe in people changing for the better. It may be hope against all hopes but I will still hope.

If you have any reactions to my comments, then please feel free to do so.

Kawawa naman kaming taga Mindanao na napabayaan ng dahil lang sa mga power hungry Manila politicians, radical priests and nuns, communist activists, Makati businessmen and oligarch and elitists sosyalista like Cory, Erap, Leah Navarro, Hyatt 10 etc. who wants to bring down this government and install a president subservient to their whims. Mga media na halatang panig sa opposition tulad ng ABS-CBN. Sabagay itong mga Lopezes na may ari ng ABS CBN ay in laws ni Erap at media ni Cory. Remember Cory returned ABS CBN to the Lopezes after martial law kaya nga parang si Kris Aquino ang laging bida sa station nila. Kung ganito ang mga taga Manila na gusto nila sila ang laging nasusunod mabuti pa humiwalay na lang ang Mindanao sa Pilipinas. Mas mabuti siguro magtayo kami ng sarili naming bansa na kaming taga Mindanao will decide what is good for us. Lahat ng malaking projects ay napunta sa Manila at ni walang malaking project na ginawa sa Mindanao. We give credit to President Gloria Arroyo na talagang she did her best to help Mindanao kahit tingi lang yung budget na napunta sa amin. Now that these Metro Manilans wants to get rid of her it will be better for us to get out of the Republic of the Philippines. As long as these people from Metro Manila I mentioned before are there they will never stop in destabilizing this country. To get rid of them we will get rid of Metro Manila and the only way to do that is to establish our own country, Mindanao Republic. Yung mga taga Mindanao who agree with me it is time we get together and secede from Republic of Manila and establish our own country, the Republic of Mindanao.

The luminary from Cagayan de Oro, Senator Aquilino Pimentel, has long batted for federalism as a solution to the so-called Mindanao problem, but his plan was relegated to the backseat.

While he wants the region of Mindanao to remain intact, which idea is shared by all other like-minded individuals, I strongly propose secession from the Republic of the Philippines and the partition of the island into two sectors. The Moors should have their own republic, or whatever they call their country and it will be made up of the Islamic-influenced provinces of Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. The Christians and the native peoples will make up the republic comprising the predominantly Christian provinces and areas. A demarcation line must be drawn between the two sectors defining their borders and a wall must be constructed to forever separate the Moors and the non-Moors, who can never co-exist in this part of the world. The Christians and Moslems in Singapore can co-exist and there is no question about it but the Christians and the Moors in Mindanao, which Moors are totally different from the Malay Moslems and Moslems in the First World countries, cannot co-exist. That is a fact only the ignoramuses cannot accept. If the Albanian, Russian, or Chinese Moslems are different, the so-called Mindanao based Moors are much more different, and if you let these groups live together, the latter, who have a predilection to murder anyone they consider not one of their kind, will exterminate the former. With their bizarre culture as a basis, a wall similar to the Great Wall of China must be erected to separate the two nations and prevent those people who, since childhood, have been taught to despite, hate, and eliminate the "infidels" in Mindanao - the Christians and non-Islamic influenced natives.

The Moors living in Christian-occupied areas must be uprooted and shipped back to their homeland, Bangsamoro, or Republic of Moorland or Republic of the Moors, or whatever they choose to call their nation. All vestiges of Moorish influence in Christian areas must be removed and anything related to the Moorish people must be exterminated. Similary, the Christians living in the Moro-controlled areas must move to the Christian republic and those Christians who refuse to leave the Moorish areas must not be forced. Those with Christian-Moro blood must decide between joining the Christian Republic in the North and the Moorish Repubic in the South. Those who choose to be on the side of the Moors should forever be prevented from entering and seeking refuge in the Christian-controlled areas. The construction of a wall, which will later become a classic symbol of separation between the two groups will serve this purpose. Sea borders must be tightly guarded to prevent or stop any future Moorish intrusions or aggressions.

The Moors must be left to their own fate. The Christians and the non-Christian natives and other ethnic groups must not have any dealings at all with them and must not meddle in the Moorish affairs.

Let the Moors have their own homeland. After all, this is what they have always longed for. Give them what they want and let them alone.

Since they have their Moro Islamic Liberation Front, Moro National Liberation Front, and the Abu Sayyaf as well as other minor groups, let them work for their independence. I see no intelligent reason why that Republic of the Philippines, an overseas territory of the United States of America, cannot and will not grant them what they have been fighting for. After all, the separation of those Moors is the beginning of peace and stability in Christian-controlled or influenced-areas.

The non-Moorish and, therefore, Christian-controlled portion of Mindanao must not be called Republic of Mindanao, for such name is not and will never be imposing. The term "Mindanao" connotes a negative meaning bordering or associated with banditry, kidnapping, or terrorism perpetrated by those infamous rebel organizations in the southern areas. I cannot imagine calling a citizen in the region "Mindanaon"; such nationality can only elicit shock, blank stares or even tauntings from other nations. If I were to decide, I would call it "The Republic of Landwig" and the citizens would be called "Landwigians". Compare that to the people on the other side of the wall.
